The 45-year-old rapper chronicles his long, harsh journey to success and blasts moochers who want an instant way to achieve their dreams instead of fighting for it.

AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg has released a music video for track "Promise You This" off his upcoming album "Neva Left", which will arrive on May 19. In the nearly-four-minute clip, Snoop warns moochers who claim that he has promised something to them. The Dah Dah Baker-directed video also shows brief montage of Snoop's journey to success.

The clip features a man who wants to be rapper and demands Snoop to make him famous, while Snoop himself says that he has never promised the man anything. At the end of the clip, the man becomes a beggar, holding a board on which is written, "Snoop Dogg promised me the world...and I'm still stuck in city...I'm a deadbeat rapper please! Help me with some spare change....until the job comes knocking on my door...help me keeps my dream alive...F**k Snoop."

Through the video, the veteran rapper tells us to work hard to achieve dreams instead of begging for it. "N***a had to walk 'bout four days/ These n***as actin' like h*es nowadays/ When I was young I used to hustle for my own s**t/ A 20 n***a slanging with them insane crips/ I made my way out they call me Snoop Eastwood/ Didn't forget where I came from, went back to the hood/ Signed n***as, gave jobs and I made bail/ And kept a lot of motherf**kers from goin' back to jail," Snoop raps on "Promise You This".

Prior to this, Snoop paid tribute to late fellow rapper Tupac Shakur at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on April 7. He took the stage to induct the late West Coast rap God who was welcomed into the Hall nearly 21 years after he was murdered. In a heartfelt speech Snoop said, "When I sat down to gather my thoughts about my labelmate, my homie, my brother, there's one thought I kept coming back to: that Tupac was an actual human being."
