Khloe Kardashian Hits Back at Body-Shaming Designers: 'I Was Gorgeous Either Way'

The 'Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian' star was 'always really shamed and shunned by [sales assistants] who'd say: 'We don't carry that size here.' '

AceShowbiz - Khloe Kardashian has proven an old proverb, "no pain, no gain." The 32-year-old reality TV star has worked incredibly hard on her physique and her look, before she finally manages to gain her ideal body size after being treated differently by designers who used to call her fat.

In an interview with ES Magazine, the youngest Kardashian sister criticized designers who refused to dress her when she was "heavier." She revealed, "[Celebrity stylists] said they didn't dress people my size," before adding, "It's shocking. Once I lost weight, the same people would reach out and be like, 'We would love to style you.' I was like, 'Screw you.' "

She continued, "I never considered myself fat but when I used to shop with my sisters, I was always really shamed and shunned by [sales assistants] who'd say: 'We don't carry that size here.' " She felt "embarrassed" and kept getting "angrier" because she couldn't wear denim for a long time. This apparently was Khloe's reason to launch her denim company Good American Jeans last year.

The "Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian" star said her new clothing line was "about empowerment, making women feel great about themselves and embracing women of all shapes." Khloe's range stocks sizes 0 - 24, and she chose to include larger sizes without labeling them plus-size due to her own experience with body-shaming.

Khloe was recently featured in a Tube advert for Protein World, which reportedly caused confidence issues among young women. The advert showed Khloe donning a leotard while promoting the company's 30-day "slender" weight-loss plan, with a tagline that read, "can you keep up with a Kardashian?"
