After making his first appearance in season 2 premiere, Tyler's Clark Kent is going to re-visit his cousin Kara in the season finale of the Melissa Benoist-starring series.

AceShowbiz - "Supergirl" current season 2 will wrap up the season with the return of the superhero of all time, Superman (Tyler Hoechlin). According to E! News, Tyler is set to reprise his role on The CW's series season finale, which is set to air on May 22 on the network.

Tyler's Superman first appeared on the series in the first episode of the current season 2. Kara's super famous cousin dropped by National City to help tinker with a malfunctioning LexCorp spacecraft. The Man of Steel later returned back to Metropolis since he knew that Supergirl would be able to handle things on her own.

Following Superman's latest appearance on the series, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that he hoped to see him returning for the series. "We're thrilled with working Tyler, which has been an amazing experience," he said. He added, "We just selfishly hope we get to do it again because it really added to the show in a way."

It remains to be seen of what brings him back to National City. However, one thing that fans are certain of is that Kara is now facing threats and Superman may lend his cousin a hand.

"Supergirl" is currently on hiatus before returning with new episodes on Monday, April 24 at 8 P.M. on The CW. Titled "Ace Reporter", the episode's official synopsis reads, "Lena's (guest star Katie McGarth) ex-boyfriend, Jack Spheer (guest star Rahul Kohli), comes to National City to unveil his big breakthrough in nano-technology, which has the potential to eradicate all diseases. Lena asks Kara to attend Jack's conference with her for support. When Kara sees Snapper (guest Star Ian Gomez) in attendance she's inspired to tap back into her reporter skills and questions Jack on his discovery, which ultimately leads to a bigger investigation that puts everyone in danger."
