Melanie Brown a.k.a. Mel B and Stephen Belafonte's divorce drama is heating up. Brown has been granted a restraining order against Lorraine Gilles, the nanny she claimed had an affair with her estranged husband. She previously accused Gilles and Belafonte in court documents of having sex tapes that featured the singer and TV host. Gilles was also reportedly working with Belafonte to extort her.
TMZ reports that Brown and her lawyers have acquired a court order to see inside a storage locker rented by Gilles. The former Spice Girls member claims the locker contains sex tapes and photos of Gilles and Belafonte. The 41-year-old singer also says the locker contains personal items like Spice Girls memorabilia and pictures of her and her recently deceased father.
A judge has ordered Gilles to remain 100 yards away from Brown and asked her not to remove any property from the storage locker. Unfortunately, it seemed that the locker was already empty when Brown and her lawyers visited it on Tuesday, April 11.
Earlier this month, Brown filed for a temporary restraining order against Belafonte, claiming that he beat, threatened and exploited her during their nearly 10-year marriage. She also accused him of cheating on her with Gilles and impregnating the nanny in the spring of 2014. When Brown tried to fire her, Belafonte freaked out and forced her to re-hire Gilles whom he hired when she was just 20 years old.
