Katy Perry Debuts Brand New Platinum-Blonde Pixie Cut
Celebrity

The 32-year-old award-winning singer has taken to Instagram to share a close-up photo of her boyish cut, which she got from celebrity stylist Chris McMillan.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry is no stranger to changing her look. Since her split from Orlando Bloom, the "Chained to the Rhythm" hitmaker has constantly changed her appearance by dying her signature dark brown hair platinum-blonde and cutting it into a shoulder-length bob. And now she has chopped her locks far shorter and dyed it platinum-blonde.

Perry took to Instagram story on Monday, April 10 to share a video of her getting a super short pixie do. "When your eyelashes are longer than your hair, you know you've just gotten cut from Chris McMillan," she said in the goofy clip. She also posted on the photo-sharing platform a close-up photo of her boyish cut. "Fifth element flow," so she captioned it while tagging hair stylist McMillan and celebrity colorist Justin Anderson.

However, Perry's new style has completely divided her fans. While most of them commented on how stunning the singer looked with her buzzed cut, many others hated it. "Anyone else think Katy Perry should stop cutting her hair? She looks awful," a fan wrote, while another preferred her as a brunette, writing, "For what it's worth, I liked your hair better when it was long & black."

Several fans even compared the 32-year-old songstress with Justin Bieber and other artists who opted for short cut. One fan wrote, "but I thought it was Beibs at first...," while another thought Perry channeled her inner Eminem, commenting, "The 8 mile." "Is that Ellen?" wrote another, referring to award-winning host Ellen DeGeneres.

Following her split from Bloom, Perry has reportedly been linked to Ryan Phillippe. However, the "Catch Hell" actor has since denied the romance rumors with a "frustrated" message. "I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY. BARELY KNOW HER. PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE," so he writes on Twitter. Perry hilariously responds to his tweet, writing, "Hi, nice to meet you, sorry bout that @RyanPhillippe carry on, lol."
