New promo for the FOX series teases Bruce's transformation into a protector of the Gotham city after he receives an advice from a mysterious Shaman played by guest star Raymond J. Barry.

After taking a midseason break, "Gotham" season 3 has released a new promo of its upcoming episode 15. The promo for the spring premiere offers a glimpse of Bruce Wayne's (David Mazouz) transformation into something that Gotham city really needs.
The video opens with a mysterious Shaman (guest star Raymond J. Barry) talking to Bruce, "I've been waiting for a long time for you to begin your journey. People are afraid and fear brings hopelessness." He continues, "Gotham needs something that you can provide."

Confused Bruce later asks, "What?" to which the Shaman answers, "A protector Bruce." The scene later is transitioned to where Bruce is in a training to embrace his role as the city protector. He can be seen next beating some guys, after previously letting them to beat him up. The 40-second promo concludes with Bruce sporting an intriguing smile.
Synopsis for the episode, titled "Mad City: How the Riddler Got His Name", reads, "Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) convinces himself that he doesn't need Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) to succeed and begins to introduce himself to Gotham as The Riddler, promptly snaring Bullock and Lucius in his mind games; Gordon learns troubling news about his father's death; and the Court of Owls reveals its next move."
During a panel discussion at WonderCon 2017 in Anaheim, CA on Sunday, April 2, Mazouz offered an explanation of his character's transformation on the series. "Bruce will go through a major transformation in these last eight episodes of the season, and it will result in him making a decision that he's been searching for, for a very long time. It will be the most important decision of his life," he said.
The star continued, "He is going to live out the reason he was created, and it will have very bad consequences for Bruce-catastrophic consequences. I don't want to give away too much, but it's not going to be pretty."
"Gotham" season 3 returns with new episodes starting on Monday, April 24 at 8 P.M. on FOX.
