Mama June does live up to the title of her new show, "From Not to Hot". In the latest episode of the WE tv reality show, the 37-year-old reality TV star, whose real name is June Shannon, finally debuted her new size 4 figure after a series of surgeries.
In the Friday, April 1 outing, Mama June unveiled her dramatic transformation during a photo shoot. She donned a flowing blush-toned dress, with matching nude wedges. She looked confident in her slimmer figure.
"It makes me feel really good to show other people this is what I've always thought of myself and that my inside hadn't changed, like my giving and outgoing and loving personality that was there when I was there," said Mama June, who originally weighed 352 pounds before starting this journey. "It's just a little bit more out there."
Her daughter Honey Boo Boo a.k.a. Alana Thompson was proud of her. "I'm really proud of her," she told the camera. "She looks great."
Prior to undergoing a surgery to remove her "bat wings" and "turkey neck," Mama June expressed her concern. "My goal when I first started this weight loss journey was to make Sugar Bear kind of jealous," she confessed when trainer Kenya Crook asked her to think about why she truly wanted to lose weight. Her plan was to debut her slimmer frame at Sugar Bear and Jennifer Lamb's wedding as her means to get revenge on him.
She added, "But it's no longer about revenge. Doing all the surgeries really took a toll on me-not just physically, but emotionally." She even fired her manager Gina Rodriguez because she thought "Gina because she puts so much damn pressure on me all the time."
But her daughter Lauryn Shannon a.k.a. Pumpkin said, "I don't think Mama realizes that everyone is on her side." With some encouragement from her daughters, Mama June finally underwent the last surgery.
