The 'Suicide Squad' actor is reportedly setting his eyes on the 'Tron' remake as a starring and producing vehicle.

AceShowbiz - "Tron" is indeed not dead. However, instead of moving forward with the long-delayed threequel, Disney is reportedly working on a reboot. The science fiction movie franchise set in a computer program called the Grid is going to get upgrade with Jared Leto.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Suicide Squad" actor is circling the lead role in the remake. The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman is also expected to produce it with Justin Springer. The project is still in the very early stages of development.

The original "Tron" movie released in 1982 starred Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner. A sequel "Tron Legacy" led by Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde came out in 2010 and brought back Bridges. A third installment initially called "Tron: Ascension" was supposed to follow the machine coming out to the real world. Despite reports that the project was killed off, director Joseph Kosinski insisted it's still "alive," but in "cryogenic freeze."
