AceShowbiz - Meghan Trainor releases a music video for her new single "I'm a Lady". The song serves as the soundtrack of upcoming movie "Smurfs: The Lost Village", which is set to be released in the U.S. on April 7.
The music video sees Meghan sharing the spotlight with a bevy of female athletes, while decked out in football gear and tiaras. It also features some footages from the sequel to "The Smurfs" directed by Kelly Asbury.
"I talk with a mouth full (uh-huh)/ But I couldn't be sweeter/ Yep, I'm a cutie in my own way/ I won't play, follow the leader," Meghan, who will be voicing one of the new characters in the animated film, sings, "And I don't look like them (But I ain't worried about it)/ I don't talk like them (But I ain't worried about it)/ I know I'm a gem/ I ain't worried about it, I ain't worried about it/ 'Cause I'm a lady/ 'Cause I'm a lady Come on!/ I'm a, I'm a lady/ All my girls, show them you're a lady/ Tell the world, say that you're proud to be a lady."
Meghan says of the song, "I'm so excited to be singing 'I'm a Lady' for this movie. It's a song that I love and am very proud of, and I can't wait for the world to finally hear it! Getting to play a small part in the film with my character, SmurfMelody, makes this all the more exciting! So happy to be a part of the Smurfs family!!!"
