The 'Straw Dogs' actor is announced to play the Inhuman royal family who possesses a voice so strong that the slightest whisper can destroy a city.

AceShowbiz - "Marvel's Inhumans" has found its Black Bolt in Anson Mount. The "Straw Dogs" actor is set to play Black Bolt, the commanding yet silent leader of the Inhuman royal family. He has a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city.

"Anson loves the challenge of playing a character who will only communicate silently," said Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television. "His enthusiasm mixed with his imposing almost regal persona made it easy to see why he is our Black Bolt."

Showrunner Scott Buck ("Dexter") added, "Black Bolt is a character whose deep complexity must be conveyed without uttering a single word, and I'm very excited to have Anson on board to bring him to life."

Anson Mount will join Iwan Rheon who is cast as Maximus. He is fiercely devoted to the people of Attilan, especially his brother - the king, while harboring an intense desire to wear the crown himself.

Roel Reine ("Death Race") will direct the first two hours of the series. The show will debut in IMAX theaters over Labor Day weekend in September for a two-week run before the extended episodes airs on ABC.
