AceShowbiz - George Clooney and his wife Amal are expecting twins. But prior to her pregnancy, the "Tomorrowland" actor needed a surgical help to get his wife pregnant as he admitted to getting a vasectomy back in 1997.

According to a source, George recently underwent a hush-hush operation to reverse his vasectomy. A top surgeon at a New York City hospital tells Radar Online that he performed the procedure to the 55-year-old actor. "George Clooney came to us to have his vasectomy undone!" says the doctor.

George revealed in January 1997 that he would undergo the intimate procedure to ensure he couldn't father a child. The "Money Monster" actor famously said, "I don't see myself ever having kids."

However, finding his soulmate has seemingly changed George's mind about his future and children.

George and Amal announced they're expecting twins earlier this month. The gender of their babies was later revealed by his mom Nina. "It will be one of each! Yes, a boy and a girl. That's what I've been told," she told Radar, "How marvelous! My husband and I are extremely excited."
