Domino, which will be Cable's partner-in-crime in the movie, is described as a witty woman and 'a no-nonsense badass who rarely shows her feeling.'

"Scandal" actress Kerry Washington is eyed to play a new character in "Deadpool 2". That Hashtag Show reports that Washington is currently testing for the role. Should the deal be sealed, Washington will play Cable's partner-in-crime Neena Thurman a.k.a. Domino.
The role was reportedly also offered to Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Sienna Miller, but both have turned it down. As for Cable, Pierce Brosnan has been reported in talks to play the mutant. However, there hasn't been official announcement from Fox about the casting.
Kerry Washington is no stranger to playing a character in superhero movie. She portrayed Alicia Masters in "Fantastic Four" movie series before. Washington is also known for her role as Alicia Pope on TV series "Scandal" and as Broomhilda von Shaft in critically-acclaimed "Django Unchained".
That Hashtag Show has also unveiled Domino's character breakdown. The breakdown reads, "Female, all ethnicities; Late 20s-early 30s. Sexy, lithe and athletic. She has a witty personality. Neena is a no-nonsense badass who rarely shows her feeling. Highly capable, supremely confident and armored in...well ARMOR...and bullet-proof sarcasm."
Despite her tough look, Domino is vulnerable. "...Beneath her shell she's still and vulnerable and some soft, beating remnant of her humanity remains intact," the breakdown reads. "In this scene we need to see both sides. When she can't get what she needs with insults, bluster and threats we need to see some of that vulnerability."
However, Domino grows up among mercenary community which doesn't allow her to show any compassion. The breakdown continues, "It's hard for her to let down her guard, and in the mercenary community she grew up in showing compassion is almost embarrassing. We should feel like she'd be more comfortable killing Silberman than saying 'Please.' " Silberman presumably is a code for another unknown new character in "Deadpool 2".
"Deadpool 2" is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 2, 2018, with Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as the Merc with a Mouth. Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) will reportedly also return for the second film.
