"Pitch Perfect 3" has another new addition for its upcoming threequel, Variety learns. Fresh off his SAG win for his role as Winston Churchill in Netflix's "The Crown", John Lithgow is confirmed to join the musical comedy movie.

Trish Sie is set to sit behind the lens for the third movie. Elizabeth Banks who directed the second one will remain as one of the producers and reprise her role in front of camera as Gail. The threequel is scheduled to hit theaters across the country on December 22, 2017.
