AceShowbiz - Yoko Ono is teaming up with producer Martin De Luca for an untitled John Lennon-Yoko Ono movie, which will center on the love story between Ono and the late The Beatles' member. "The Theory of Everything" writer Anthony McCarten serves as the scriptwriter. He will also produce the untitled Yoko Ono & John Lennon project with Ono, De Luca Productions' De Luca and Immersive Pictures' Josh Bratman.

"The story will focus on ripe and relevant themes of love, courage and activism in the U.S.-with the intention of inspiring today's youth to stand up for and have a clear vision for the world they want," says De Luca as quoted by Deadline. "I am also honored and privileged to be working with Yoko Ono, Anthony McCarten and Josh Bratman to tell the story of two amazing global icons."

Ono and Lennon became couple in late 1960s, and she was always linked with Lennon's transition from The Beatles' member to a solo singer. The two frequently participated in provocative campaign of peace and even became activists against the Vietnam War. They stayed together until Lennon's murder in 1980. Ono has been preserving Lennon's music and legacy ever since.

De Luca is well known for his based-on-true-story movies, such as "Captain Phillips", "Moneyball" and "The Social Network". McCarten is the writer of critically-acclaimed "The Theory of Everything", which follows the love story of Stephen and Jane Hawking. He also writes the script and produces the upcoming Winston Churchill film, "Darkest Hour", as well as Freddie Mercury pic "Bohemian Rhapsody".
