"The Predator" has been loading up its cast over the past few weeks. Jacob Tremblay is the latest name to sign up for the movie. The "Room" actor will star alongside Boyd Holbrook in 20th Century Fox's reboot of the alien action movie franchise.

The 11-year-old actor will play Holbrook's on-screen son. He is "autistic and bullied in school but becomes a key player in the fight due to his preternatural ability to learn languages." Meanwhile, Holbrook's character is described as an "ex-Marine who discovers the existence of fierce aliens that no one believes they exist."

Tremblay has his breakthrough with his performance in the Oscar-winning drama "Room". He is set to appear in Lionsgate's "Wonder" with Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson who play his parents. Recently, the "Shut In" actor wrapped up filming for "The Book of Henry", in which he plays a character named Peter Carpenter.

Also already tapped to star in the new "Predator" movie are Sterling K. Brown ("The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story"), Keegan-Michael Key ("The Lego Movie"), Olivia Munn ("X-Men: Apocalypse") and Trevante Rhodes ("Moonlight"). "The Mist" actor Thomas Jane is also expected to appear in the movie, as he's currently in negotiations to join the cast.

"The Predator" is set to begin its principal photography in February in Vancouver. Not much is known about the movie details as the production team still keeps the plot under wraps.

Shane Black, who also starred in the original 1987 "Predator" as Hawkins, will direct the reboot from a script penned by Fred Dekker. Meanwhile, the original movie's producers namely John Davis, Joel Silver and Lawrence Gordon are returning to produce the movie. "The Predator" is slated to hit U.S. theaters on February 9, 2018.
