Kansas-born teenage singer Grace VanderWaal maintains her title of cover princess. The "America's Got Talent" alum dropped by "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show" on Tuesday, January 24 for a special cover of Alessia Cara's song "Scars to Your Beautiful".

Rocking a square-patterned blazer and peter pan collar shirt, Grace delivered an acoustic version of the song. Using guitar that Shawn Mendes gave her, the singer opted for a slow rendition of the Warren Felder-produced track. Alessia seemed to be pleased and put a seal of approval to the cover as she tweeted, "u are a star, little lady."

During her visit, Grace also talked about the worst song she's ever written. "I wasn't always poetic, but when I was little I used to write songs about random things," she said. "The worst song was about a shadow underneath my door, I think I still have it somewhere."

Earlier this week, the 13-year-old singer teased that she would release her first album this fall. One of Grace's fans reached out to her on Twitter and asked, "Grace, when do you think you'll start working on your full album? Can't wait! Please answer OK?" The singer then responded to the tweet, "I have already started writing! September is my goal for my first LP."

Grace went viral after playing ukulele and singing her self-written song at "AGT" audition. After winning the talent-search competition, she signed contract with Columbia Records and Syco Music, whose boss Simon Cowell dubbed her as the "next Taylor Swift" on the show. Her first EP "Perfectly Imperfect" was released on December 2, 2016 and debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.
