Does Mariah Carey want to reconcile with her ex-fiance James Packer? Rumor has it, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hitmaker has reached out to her former Australian billionaire beau to help her regain her career.
Mariah has taken some time out of the spotlight following her lip-sync disaster on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve". Her business is allegedly in trouble following her battle against Dick Clark Production.
According to a pal, Mariah is "filled with regret over James." The friend tells NW Magazine, as quoted by Daily Mail, "She knows she drove him away, but he's so powerful and knows how to run a successful business - and right now her business, which is 'Mariah Carey' is in trouble."
Mariah's friend also alleges that it was her manager, Stella Bulochnikov, who suggested the "We Belong Together" singer to create drama with James for her reality show "Mariah's World".
"Everything went crazy when she started filming her reality TV show," says the friend, "Stella insisted she create drama with James for the show and he didn't think it was a good move for her."
Stella and James reportedly had different ideas about Mariah's career and it was part of the reason for the couple's split in October.
A representative for Mariah, however, denies the singer has been in touch with her ex-fiance or sought help from him. James' rep hasn't commented on the report yet.
