AceShowbiz - Robbie Williams was criticized for cleaning his hands with sanitizer after touching fans at his New Year's Eve gig in London. The 42-year-old British singer took to Instagram on Monday, January 2 to share a funny video in response to the incident.
Poking fun of the incident, Williams was seen in the video that was filmed by his wife Ayda Field greeting his friend and wishing her a happy New Year. He then cleaned his palms with anti-bacterial gel before putting a disgusted look on his face. "Wiping the slate clean for 2017," so the video was captioned.
Many loved the joke though, as several followers wrote in the comment section that they "can't stop laughing" after watching the video. "Freaking hilarious," one fan said. Another wrote, "Ha ha ha... naughty!" Others even praised his use of the product, saying that "more people suffer through cancellations, if Robbie gets sick!"
Williams put on a special performance to welcome the new year at Westminster's Central Hall. The "Love My Life" hitmaker jumped into the crowd to greet them, but he picked up a bottle of hand sanitizer right after he returned to the stage. Many have rushed to post on Twitter to talk about his actions since the whole incident was caught on camera.
