Debbie Reynolds 'Under So Much Stress' After Daughter Carrie Fisher's Death

The veteran actress was struggling with the devastating last moments of her daughter's life, according to her brother Bill Reynolds.

AceShowbiz - It's been a tough week for Carrie Fisher's family. A day after her passing, her mother Debbie Reynolds was rushed to the hospital with a "possible stroke" on Wednesday, December 28, as it appears that her grief has affected her health condition.

According to Debbie's brother Bill Reynolds, the veteran actress was struggling with the devastating last moments of her daughter's life. The 84-year-old actress was by her daughter's side before her death on December 27 and held out hope that Carrie would survive until the end.

"They were watching her brainwaves and she had lost so much time to get the blood flowing to her brain and that was a big concern to show improvement and it didn't," Bill tells Radar Online. "Hopefully she would have pulled out of it. [But] she had a setback." He adds, "Once the brain stopped, that was it."

An insider additionally says that Debbie "has been under so much stress" throughout the whole situation and she was taken to the emergency room in "fair and serious condition." Bill says his sister may have a "stroke."

Bill says she's "taking care of it all" with regards to Carrie's funeral.
