A synopsis and new photos for "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." midseason premiere have been released by ABC and Marvel Television. The synopsis teases a mysterious inhuman, while one of the photos shows Aida's (Mallory Jensen) confrontation with Holden Radcliffe (John Hannah).
One image shows Radcliffe and Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) looking confused.
Meanwhile, the official synopsis reads, "Though Coulson (Clark Gregg) and May (Ming-Na Wen) are growing closer, Coulson remains unaware of the dark secret May is hiding beneath the surface. Meanwhile, Aida is unrelenting in her search for the Darkhold."
"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." also stars Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons and Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso "Mack" MacKenzie.
Guest stars in the season include Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez, Jason O'Mara as Jeffrey Mace, Parminder Nagra as Ellen Nadeer, Lorenzo James Henrie as Gabe Reyes, Lili Birdsell as Lucy Bauer and Jose Zuniga as Eli Morrow.
"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns with the new episode titled "Broken Promises" on January 10, 2017 at 10 P.M. ET on ABC. The episode is written by Brent Fletcher and directed by Garry A. Brown.
