Kelsea Ballerini has the merriest Christmas possible this year. The 23-year-old country singer took to Instagram on Sunday night, December 25 to announce that she just got engaged to Australian musician Morgan Evans.

"This morning, 9 months and 13 days later, he got down on one knee in the kitchen while I was burning pancakes and asked me to marry him," she wrote in the caption. "Loving him has been the greatest gift of my life. And now I get to do it for life," she continued, adding the hashtag, "#HeCalledDibs."

Kelsea was seen in the image hugging her fiance while showing off her engagement ring. The "Love Me Like You Mean It" singer also took to Twitter to offer her followers a closer look at the beautiful ring. "I GET TO MARRY MY AUSSIE," read the post. "My heart is bursting from loving this human so much. luckiest girl in the world."

The newly-engaged couple first met while hosting Australia's Country Music Channel Awards earlier this year, as seen in a video she shared recently. "On march 12th I met and hosted an awards show with @morganevansmusic," so read the caption of the video featuring her on stage along with Morgan.
