One of the first-look pictures of the Edgar Wright-directed action crime drama also features Jon Hamm and Eiza Gonzales.

A couple of first-look pictures of Edgar Wright's "Baby Driver" have made their way out online. Debuted via Entertainment Weekly, one of them features Ansel Elgort as the titular getaway driver who is seen preparing for a drive, with Jamie Foxx's "impulsive gun-slinging cohort" Bats in the passenger seat.
The other photo also offers fans the first look at Jon Hamm and Eiza Gonzales who play Buddy and Darling respectively. Buddy is described as "a handsome party animal," while Darling is his "lawless and scandalous girlfriend" who is also his partner in crime.
Speaking about the movie, Wright says, "I always wanted to do an action movie that was powered by music." The helmer also reveals that "there's about 35 songs in the movie and they range from very famous to more obscure. It's supposed to reflect the character's extremely eclectic taste in music."
"Baby Driver" focuses on a young getaway driver who suffers from tinnitus. After being coerced into working for a crime boss, he finds himself taking part in a heist doomed to fail. He attempts to leave the criminal life behind after meeting the girl of his dreams.
Also written by Wright, the action flick is set for an August 11, 2017 release in U.S. theaters. Lily James is cast as Deborah, who is the love interest of the titular character, while Oscar winner Kevin Spacey will portray the crime boss named Doc. It's also supported by Jon Bernthal ("The Punisher").
