In response to a fan who asks her about the notorious dark wizard in 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', the author has revealed some shocking and spoilerish details.

AceShowbiz - Some Potterheads may wonder how dangerous Gellert Grindelwald is after the release of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". And now, author J.K. Rowling has taken to Twitter to reveal some spoilerish details about the notorious dark wizard, who is portrayed by Johnny Depp, in the "Harry Potter" spin-off.

Grindelwald took the form of Percival Graves (Colin Farrell) before being exposed in the last minutes of the movie. When asked by a fan, "What did Graves-Grindelwald mean when he [told Ezra Miller's Credence Barebone]: 'My vision showed only the child's immense power?' Is he a Seer or was he lying?" Rowling confirmed that he "is a Seer AND he was lying."

Rowling also answered a series of questions from fans on her newly-updated website. "Why did 'revelio' undo the effects of Polyjuice Potion?" read one question. "It didn't," the British author said, before explaining, "Grindelwald's Transfiguration surpasses that of most wizards, so he used a spell, not a potion, to take on the appearance of Percival Graves."

For those unfamiliar with Seer, he or she is described as "a gifted wizard or witch who has the ability to see into the future with their Inner Eye. Seers predict prophecies, which are then recorded and stored in the Hall of Prophecy in the Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries."

Grindelwald will play a bigger role in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2". Rowling previously said that the relationship between the dark wizard and the equally powerful Albus Dumbledore would be explored in the second movie, which is set for a November 16, 2018 U.S release.
