Amy Schumer has proven she is a daughter every parent dreams of. On Monday, December 19, the "Trainwreck" star took to Instagram to announce that she has purchased her father's farm back. She shared a screenshot of her Facetime conversation with her father, Gordon, and captioned it, "Today I bought my father's farm back."

Today I bought my father's farm back.

She also posted an old video in which she, as a child, played in her father's corn field which later was sold and has now been re-purchased. "Video from the farm when I was running away in the cornfield and my dad was taunting me because I wanted him to come with me. We lost the farm when we lost everything else. But today I got to buy it back for him," she wrote along with it.

Amy's father was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she was 12 and had to sell his farm due to bankruptcy. As if life hadn't been hard enough for Amy, her parents got divorced. But thanks to the unfortunate events, she started to look for things that could cheer her up, and that's how her sense of humor grew.

"I seek laughter all the time," Amy said during an appearance on CBS' "Sunday Morning" last July. "I think that's something that also comes with having a sick parent is you don't know what's going to happen and so I'll be like, 'I'm psyched my legs still work!' "

Buying a farm back isn't the only thing Amy did to make his father happy. Last April, Amy arranged a Facetime conversation between his father and Goldie Hawn, his celeb crush and her co-star in the upcoming movie "Snatched".
