The 'Game of Thrones' alum is seen cozying up to her on-screen longtime girlfriend, who is portrayed by Helene Yorke, a lawyer who graduated from a law school a while ago.

AceShowbiz - Rose Leslie will play a lead character on "The Good Wife" spin-off, which is titled "The Good Fight". The "Game of Thrones" alum takes the role of a lesbian named Maia, who is the goddaughter of Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski).

In the first look which was obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Leslie's character Maia is cozying up to her girlfriend named Amy (Helene Yorke) in bed. Executive producer Robert King said, "That's Maia's longtime girlfriend, who is a lawyer herself. She graduated from law school a while ago. Now it's Maia's turn to graduate from law school."

Meanwhile, Carrie Preston has just been booked to reprise her role as quirky but brilliant attorney Elsbeth Tascioni on the spin-off. As reported by Deadline, series co-creators Robert and Michelle King wanted Preston to return to "The Good Wife" for a major arc during its final season, but her role on NBC's short-lived "Crowded" limited her to appearing in just one episode.

On the new series, an enormous financial scam has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia (Leslie), while simultaneously wiping out her mentor Diane Lockhart's (Baranski) savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at one of Chicago's pre-eminent law firms.

Other original "The Good Wife" stars set to return for the spin-off include Sarah Steele, Zach Grenier, Jerry Adler and Gary Cole. "The Good Fight" is executive produced by the Kings. It picks up one year after the events in the final episode of "The Good Wife".

"The Good Fight" will premiere on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 8 P.M. on CBS and CBS All Access.
