AceShowbiz - Forget the Brangelina reunion! Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt spent their first Thanksgiving apart since her divorce filing. Despite circulating rumors about their temporary truce, the estranged couple did not reunite for the annual American holiday.
According to sources, Brad was in Los Angeles for the holiday, but he did not meet Angie and their six children Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. "She never asked him and they are not together," an insider tells Page Six over the holiday weekend.
Rumor has it, Brad was "crushed" as he only met his children three times since Angie filed for divorce last September. "Brad has been deferential on what's best for them and limits their stress," a source told Us Weekly. He's lately been seen publicly promoting "Allied" around the globe.
An insider previously told OK! that Shiloh sent an email to Angie and Brad to spend the holiday together. The "Maleficent" actress reportedly called her estranged husband soon after and invited him for a family holiday dinner.
"Shiloh has been begging Brad and Angelina for weeks to start being nice to each other," the insider said, "Then she sent them both an emotional email asking for the family to spend Thanksgiving together. She let them know that it was what the kids were hoping for. It was a totally aboveboard conversation. [Brad] thanked [Angie] for the invitation and she said 'I think it'll be good for us.' "
