'Fantastic Beasts 2': Colin Farrell Won't Return, Zoe Kravitz Will Play Bigger Role
Movie

Producer David Heyman says that 'there is no plans to bring Colin back for the sequel,' while Zoe's character is said to have a larger role that's connected with Newt Scamander's past.

AceShowbiz - Don't expect to see Colin Farrell in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" sequel, Potterheads! While speaking with Snitch Seeker, producer David Heyman reveals that Colin won't return as the sinister Auror Percival Graves in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2".

"I doubt it," David responds when asked if fans will see Graves in future movies, adding that "there's no plans to bring Colin back for the second movie." While [SPOILER ALERT!] the fate of Graves is unknown after it's revealed that Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) takes his form in the first movie, the producer clarifies that the real Graves indeed exists.

"Yes, there was a real Graves," the producer reveals. "Yes, someone used some Polyjuice potion and took their place. I don't know where they are at the story's end, But yes, there was a real Graves. We didn't film him. We didn't film the Polyjuice. We just dived into the story midway through."

In other news, it's reported that Zoe Kravitz's Leta Lestrange will have a bigger role in the sequel after only appearing in the form of a photo in the first film. As revealed by director David Yates, fans "will see a bit more of" the ex-lover of Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander because she "has a kind of power over" Newt.

"She's quite complicated and damaged and confused and Newt is absolutely still in love with her," the helmer tells Cinema Blend. "So she has a kind of power over him, and she, yeah, she's a kind of tragic figure, so we will see a bit more of her in the second movie."

Potter nerds are probably familiar with her last name as there are several members of the Lestrange family in the "Harry Potter" movie series. But the most prominent one is Bellatrix (a Lestrange by marriage), who is Voldemort's supporter along with her husband Rodolphus Lestrange and brother-in-law Rabastan. It remains to be seen what kind of relationship Leta has with the Lestrange brothers.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is currently playing in theaters across the nation, while the sequel is set for a November 16, 2018 release. The third movie will follow on November 20, 2020.
