AceShowbiz - %cLady GaGa% bonded with %cSelena Gomez% at the 2016 American Music Awards. On late Sunday, November 20, the "Perfect Illusion" hitmaker posted on Instagram a picture of her hanging out with the former Disney star backstage of the annual awards event.
The two appeared to share a sweet moment in the image. Gomez rested her head on GaGa's shoulder as they shared a warm embrace. "So dope I got to hang with with the biggest rockstar of the night. (Ya,know besides %cSting% and %cGreen Day%) ...the girl with the biggest prize of all a BIG Heart that she shares with the world," so the 30-year-old singer captioned it.
Gomez made her first public appearance after her rehab stint at the AMAs. She was honored with Favorite Female Artist - Pop/Rock award and delivered a moving speech when accepting the prize. "Thank you guys so much. In 2014, this stage was actually the first time I was authentically, 100-percent honest with all of you," she said, "I think it's safe to say that most of you know a lot of my life-whether I liked it or not-and I had to stop. Cause I had everything, and I was absolutely broken inside."
Addressing her issue, she continued, "I kept all together enough to where I would never let you down but I kept it too much together to where I wore myself down. I'm not trying to get validation and I don't need it any more. I don't want to see your bodies on Instagram, I want to see what's in here. If you are broken you do not have to stay broken. Thank you so much to my fans, you're so damn loyal and I don't know what I did to deserve you. Thank you so much for this."
GaGa was moved by Gomez's powerful message as she was caught on camera crying during the 24-year-old singer/actress' speech.
Gomez reportedly also bumped into her alleged ex-fling %cNiall Horan% at the November 20 event. According to HollywoodLife.com, the two met backstage and shared a hug after his performance of "This Town".
"Selena looked gorgeous and really happy," the site reported. "She congratulated [Niall] in his 'incredible' performance. Then her team took her into a dressing room. And they hugged one more time."
