Matt Damon will make a cameo appearance in "Ocean's Eight". The Linus Caldwell of the original "Ocean Eleven" trilogy himself has revealed that he has a role in the upcoming all-female driven reboot to be led by Oscar-winning actresses Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway.

"I'm doing a little bit in the movie," Damon told ET while attending "Manchester by the Sea" premiere at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills on Monday, September 14. "I haven't read it yet, but the cast is phenomenal and I'm excited to see what those women do with it. It's going to be fun."

As "Ocean's Eight" is said to take place in the same universe as the original movies, it is safe to say that Damon won't be the only familiar face to show up in the Gary Ross-directed movie. Additionally, rumor has been swirling that Bullock will play the sister of George Clooney's Danny Ocean, making him the next original cast member to possibly appear in the upcoming remake.

"Ocean's Eight" is currently filming in New York City. The movie will arrive in U.S. theaters on June 8, 2018. Playing the other crew members of the titular thieves are Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna and Awkwafina. It's supported by Dakota Fanning and Damian Lewis.
