Penn State University first announced plans for a concert at the Beaver Stadium earlier this year. Back in 2015, University Officials stated that they're seeking options to renovate or replace the stadium in the next 10 years. The school wants to expand the number of events held at the stadium, including major concerts and a long-discussed potential hosting of the NHL Winter Classic.
