Judging from a new image shared by helmer James Mangold, Jackman's clawed mutant is really losing his healing ability in the third and final 'Wolverine' movie.

Another black-and-white picture of James Mangold's "Logan" has landed online. Shared on the helmer's Twitter account, the new image shows Hugh Jackman's clawed mutant suffering gunshot wounds in his chest, confirming that he is slowly losing his healing ability in the third and final "Wolverine" movie.

In addition to Jackman, "Logan" sees the return of Patrick Stewart who will reprise his role as Professor X. Dafne Keen joins the cast as a young female clone of Logan named Laura Kinney a.k.a. X-23 and Stephen Merchant is set to play albino mutant Caliban. Meanwhile, Boyd Holbrook is cast as the villainous Donald Pierce, the leader of the criminal cyborg The Reavers, and Richard E. Grant is on board to play the head of Transigen who created X-23.

Set in the future of 2024, the movie follows Logan and Professor X who must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan's healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier's Alzheimer's forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney.

"Logan" is slated to be released on March 3, 2017 in U.S. theaters.
