Nicki Minaj may be the one to blame for Drake's split from Rihanna. According to a new HollywoodLife.com report, the pair had a big fight over the 33-year-old raptress and Drizzy's "infatuation" with her before they ended their relationship recently.

A source close to the Toronto native said that he'd been in love with both Rihanna and Nicki, but didn't have the guts to tell his "Work" collaborator that. "Drake could never look at Rihanna and tell her that he's in love with Nicki too," said the insider. "He doesn't have that type of swag to be brutally honest to a woman to that extent, let alone Rihanna."

But Rihanna's "not stupid" and she "already knew" it. "Several weeks ago they had an argument about Nicki because Drake kept rapping the lyrics to a few of he and Nicki's collabs and going on and on about how he and Nicki are magical when they're on a track together," the source went on explaining.

"Ri felt offended and thought Drake was being high key disrespectful when they themselves have worked together. Words were said, Drake apologized but Ri still feels some type of way and is jealous of his love for Nicki," the source added.

Drake and Rihanna, who have been rumored dating for years now, rekindled their relationship ahead of the 2016 MTV VMAs back in August. While they never really confirmed their on-again romance, E! News reported a few days ago that the couple had called it quits again.

"Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people at the moment. They are not exclusive anymore," a source told the publication at the time. "They still love each other, but their schedules have gotten in the way."

It's still unclear if Nicki is really the cause of Drake and Rihanna's split, but it's worth noting that the "One Dance" hitmaker hasn't talked to his Young Money labelmate for a long time, likely due to his feud with Nicki's boyfriend Meek Mill. As everyone has known, the Philly rapper last year started a beef with Drake by publicly accusing him of not writing his own rap verses.
