Beyonce Knowles isn't coming to New Jersey this week. The 35-year-old singer has postponed her concert, which was supposed to take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Wednesday, September 7, until Friday, October 7.
The postponement is announced by MetLife Stadium via a statement on its website, adding that Bey has been put on vocal rest by a doctor. "Live Nation and Parkwood Entertainment apologize for any inconvenience," reads the statement.
Tickets for the previously scheduled performance will be valid at the rescheduled date. Fans who want to refund their tickets can visit the point of purchase beginning September 7. There are no changes to any additional dates at this time and Bey's next shows in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Nashville are expected to proceed as scheduled.
Bey recently celebrated her 35th birthday at the Budweiser Made in America Festival in Philadelphia. She was spotted cozying up to her husband Jay-Z at the Sunday event and hanging out with Bill Clinton backstage.
Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin gave a shout out to the birthday girl from the stage, while Chance the Rapper paused his performance to serenade the "Formation" songstress with "Happy Birthday".
