Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea got an unlikely student. During his visit to the Gorilla Foundation in Woodside, California, the bassist spent time with Koko the Gorilla. The musician looked on while Koko fiddled with his music instrument.

"My sweet and true friend koko," Flea wrote on Instagram. "Koko rocks a flea bass like it ain't nuthin." He added, "What I needed was one of these bad ass koko shirts!" He attached a link to Bonfire Funds campaign to help raise awareness about endangered species.

At one point, Flea was seen lying down on the floor while Koko continued playing with his bass. "This is the greatest thing that could ever happen," he said. "This is the day I'll never forget in my life."

"One of Koko's favorite musicians, Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers came to visit," the Gorilla Foundation wrote on their website. "Koko was thrilled by the mellow sounds and a jamming session followed with Koko strumming on Flea's bass! Watch for more news on future collaborations between the two."
