Vin Diesel and The Rock Have Reportedly Ended 'Fast 8' On-Set Feud
Movie

'What happened is over, and no one expects there to be any lingering effects,' says a source with knowledge of the on-set feud.

AceShowbiz - The "candy a**es" controversy between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel on the set of "Fast and Furious 8" is reportedly over. According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources with knowledge of the on-set feud say the beef has finally come to an end.

Sources said that Universal Pictures' Executive Vice President Mark Sourian was tasked to make sure the issues got resolved before promoting the movie. "What happened is over, and no one expects there to be any lingering effects," said an insider. "When it comes time to promote the movie, this will have no bearing."

A source who was on the filming set previously claimed that The Rock was bothered by Vin's habit of staying in his trailer and making the crew and his co-stars wait. This was apparently the reason the former wrestler launched the Instagram rant on Monday, August 8. The source said, "Everything was running smoothly, and this was how Vin has run things for the past several movies."

"Everyone was shocked that The Rock posted that," an agent who reps the film's principal told the site. The Rock has reportedly been advised to refrain from similar Instagram rant in the future to keep the franchise roaring ahead in anticipation of two additional films. "That was seen as kind of unacceptable," the source added.

"Fast and Furious 8" should put aside all the "candy a**es" drama as the film will arrive in U.S. theaters on April 14, 2017. The ninth and tenth films will follow on April 19, 2019 and April 2, 2021 respectively.
