As "Deadpool 2" has been confirmed to be in development, fans have been wondering who will play Cable who was announced by the Merc with a Mouth to appear in the sequel. Report now emerges revealing the actor considered to take the said role.
During Meet the Movie Press, Mashable's Jeff Sneider said, "People were talking about Cable from 'Deadpool 2'. There's been a name floating around for Cable for months. Hasn't changed. Don't know if it's changed. Didn't make any calls about this. This was just the name that has been out there for months. So take this with a gigantic grain of salt. The biggest grain of salt your tiny little brain can imagine. The name that is floating around for Cable right now is Kyle Chandler."
Chandler is best known for his role as Coach Eric Taylor on TV series "Friday Night Lights". He also starred in "King Kong", "Super 8", "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Carol" among many others. He's currently starring as one of the leads on Netflix's series "Bloodline".
Sneider shared another casting tidbit from the upcoming movie, revealing the name who is reportedly eyed for the role of Domino. "The name for Domino, who is said to be the scene-stealer of the movie, is Mackenzie Davis," he said.
Davis, who made her feature film debut in 2012's "Smashed", has also appeared in "Breathe In", "The F Word", "That Awkward Moment" and "The Martian". She currently stars on TV series "Halt and Catch Fire".
Ryan Reynolds is set to reprise his role as the titular character in the "Deadpool" sequel. Tim Miller will return as director. No release date is set for the movie so far.
