Adele might be saying hello to the upcoming 51st Super Bowl. The National Football League is reportedly eyeing the "Hello" hitmaker for next year's halftime performance, which is scheduled for Sunday, February 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

According to The Sun, NFL execs are "desperately trying to land" the "Rolling in the Deep" singer for the upcoming Super Bowl show. An NFL source revealed, "There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now and organizers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up."

"She's sold out every date on her tour, everyone wants a piece of her and they know they can bank on her bringing in the viewers," the source continued, "It's Adele's nerves that are the issue - it hasn't been an easy sell."

Reps for Adele and NFL haven't commented on the report yet. If the rumor is true, the "Someone Like You" songstress would join an elite list of performers who have graced the halftime stage including Beyonce Knowles, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Prince and Madonna.
