AceShowbiz - Lin-Manuel Miranda took over Disney Animation's Instagram over the weekend to promote his upcoming movie "Moana". The "Hamilton" actor performed his own rendition of classic Disney tunes.
In one video, Lin-Manuel was joined by his "Moana" co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. They performed a funny rendition of "Gaston" from "Beauty and the Beast". "As a specimen, yes, he's intimidating. Oh my god, that is The Rock!" Lin-Manuel jokingly sang while The Rock flexed in the background.
Using the hashtag #linstagram, Lin-Manuel asked followers to "name the Disney movie" before belting through classics including "Aladdin" ("One Jump Ahead"), "The Little Mermaid" ("Under the Sea"), "Mulan" ("I'll Make a Man Out of You").
Lin-Manuel composed music for "Moana" alongside Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa'i. The movie, which also features voices from Auli'i Cravalho, Phillipa Soo, Alan Tudyk and Nicole Scherzinger, is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on November 23.
