Calvin Harris is not collaborating with Kanye West on new music, despite circulating rumors. The 32-year-old Scottish DJ is avoiding a music collaboration with the "Gold Digger" rapper because he doesn't want to get involved in his ex Taylor Swift's drama anymore.
Sources tell TMZ that Calvin and Kanye have not discussed making any music together. The "This Is What You Came For" hitmaker doesn't plan a Kanye collab anytime soon because "he wants to kill the narrative of being connected to Taylor."
A source previously told E! News, "[Calvin] wants to make some music with Kanye down the road." The site admitted that nothing was in the works quite yet, but Calvin thought Kanye was "brilliant with music." Another source claimed that Kanye and Kim Kardashian "always thought" that Calvin was really talented.
The collab rumor came after Calvin and Kim partied together at Jennifer Lopez's birthday party in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 23. Prior to the birthday celebration, the "How Deep Is Your Love" hitmaker posted then deleted a Snapchat video of him lip-syncing Kanye and ScHoolBoy Q's recent collaboration "THat Part". In the video, the DJ was seen dancing while waving a frying pan in the air. "Wifey gonna kill me, she the female O.J.," he rapped along, "Y'all don't feel me, man, this ain't OK."
