Alanis Morissette has given birth to her second baby with husband Souleye. The couple announced via social media the arrival of their daughter Onyx Solace on Friday, July 8, sharing the first picture of their newest addition.
"She's here! onyx solace morissette-treadway June 23 2016 #beyondblessed," Alanis wrote on Instagram and Twitter alongside the photo of her breastfeeding her newborn child. Onyx joins big brother Ever Imre.
The happy news comes just a week after Alanis posted a nude underwater photo of herself. In the picture, the "Ironic" hitmaker bared her baby bump and covered her boobs with her hands while floating underwater in a swimming pool.
The proud mama captioned the snap with a quote from her 5-year-old son, who said, "You have to be extra gentle around ladies because they are the most helpful people in the world 'cause they make persons.' "
Alanis and Souleye celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary back in May. The 42-year-old singer shared a sweet picture of her, Souleye and their son caressing her baby bump. "Happy anniversary angel husband. Marrying you was the smartest thing I have done in my life. There is nowhere I would rather be than in this hot kitchen with you :)," she captioned it.
