For the first time since checking into rehab again to seek treatment for postpartum depression, Hayden Panettiere was photographed in New York City on Monday, July 4. The actress looked healthy as she sported a plaid shirt and blue pants while reading the book "Underboss: Sammy The Bull Gravano's Story of Life in the Mafia" and smoking a cigarette.
However, fans couldn't help but notice that she wasn't wearing her engagement ring during the outing. The "Nashville" star got the six-carat ring from fiance Wladimir Klitschko, whom she's been dating on and off since 2009. There's still no official word from the pair, who are parents to 18-month daughter Kaya Evdokia.

Panettiere was first treated for postpartum depression last year, months after giving birth to her daughter in December 2014. She decided to seek holistic help for her continued struggles with the condition two months ago.
Back in May, she announced on Twitter, "The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life. Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!"
