AceShowbiz - Drake came out as the biggest winner of the 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards. The rapper, who led the nominees with seven nods, walked away with a total of five awards at the Canadian event on Sunday, June 19.
He won the Video of the Year Award for the "Hotline Bling" visuals, which also earned him the Best Hip-Hop Video and Most Buzzworthy Canadian trophies. Director X, who helmed the video. nabbed the Best Director title. Drizzy additionally took home the Best MuchFACT Video Award for his contribution to Majid Jordan's "My Love".
Shawn Mendes was another Canada's finest winning multiple awards that night. The teen nabbed the Best Pop Video and Fan Fave Video for his and Camila Cabello's "I Know What You Did Last Summer".
Cabello won two more awards as part of Fifth Harmony. The ladies bagged the Fan Fave International Artist or Group prize and the Most Buzzworthy International Artist or Group title for their "Work from Home".
The 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards was broadcast and live streamed from Toronto with Gigi Hadid as the host. Also making up the winner list were other Canadian superstars like Justin Bieber and The Weeknd, who won Fan Fave Artist or Group and Canadian Single of the Year respectively, as well as U.S. acts like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who were named International Duo or Group and Nick Jonas who dedicated his International Artist of the Year trophy to the victims of Orlando shooting.
