Courtney Stodden announced on Monday, May 16 that she and husband Doug Hutchison are expecting their first child together. However, the news is now doubted by her estranged mother Krista Keller.
Krista tells Radar Online that she isn't positive that her daughter's pregnancy news is true as Courtney hasn't told her anything about it. "This is all I can say for now: If it wasn't for media I would not get to know the news about my daughter's pregnancy," Krista says, adding that she isn't sure "if this is accurate."
"If she is happy, I am happy for her," Krista added. "It would be nice to experience this with her, but as it still stands, she and I are still not speaking. I did not even hear from her on Mother's Day. I was blessed to be able to celebrate it with my other two daughters, Ashley, 32, and Brittany, 30. Courtney is still missing from our family. We pray for her every day."
While Courtney hasn't shared the happy news to her own mother, she and Doug surprise his mother through a phone call. In a video shared on Instagram, Doug's mom is "happy" when learning about their pregnancy. "That moment when we shared the news with Doug's Mama #4weeks #baby," Courtney writes.
"It's a bittersweet time for me right now. I'm dealing with a lot of stress and emotions surrounding life and its ups and downs," Courtney told Us Weekly of her pregnancy, "Doug and I weren't planning on going public with this so soon. I’m only four weeks along in my pregnancy. But some things are out of your control."
