The Scottish actor has reportedly struck a close friendship with the 24-year-old actress, whom he met while filming 'X-Men: Apocalypse' in Montreal and in Berkshire.

James McAvoy may not be single for a long time after splitting from his wife Anne-Marie Duff. The 37-year-old actor has been linked to his "X-Men: Apocalypse" co-star Alexandra Shipp, who is 13 years old his junior.
According to The Daily Mirror, the two got close while filming the "X-Men" movie. "It's no great secret how they've got close. James has been quite open among the cast and crew that his marriage was over ' and it seems he has struck up a friendship with Alex since then," a source told the site. The source added, "It's been the source of some gossip among those connected to the film - but they've kept things low key."
"He and Alex were certainly very tactile," the source said of McAvoy and Shipp, who were captured on camera sharing a laugh during the premiere of their movie in London earlier this month.
The source additionally claimed that McAvoy and Duff's marriage had been in crisis for some time, but they're still living together in their house in north London. "He told people things had started to break down some time ago but that everything was fine and they were perfectly happy," the source said.
The estranged couple was seen enjoying a bike ride on Sunday, May 15. They have one child together, 5-year-old Brendan.
