The 'Orange Is the New Black' star admits to throwing French fries at bartender but she vehemently claims it was not unprovoked.

AceShowbiz - Ruby Rose breaks her silence after news broke out that she threw French fries at a bartender in a New Orleans restaurant. The "Orange Is the New Black" star defends herself as she explains her side of story on Facebook, saying it was not unprovoked and hitting back at the "rude" bartender in the process.

The Australian actress mockingly calls the day the incident happened "Fry-day the 13th." She begins her story, "My assistant, tour manager and myself arrived at an establishment last night for dinner before my show in New Orleans. We waited 60 minutes for fries and over 90 minutes for food that never actually arrived."

"When I asked about it, the bartender offered us drinks. I explained I'm sober, but thank you," she continues. "He then made some really rude and vulgar comments to the table. When someone makes repeated derogatory jokes about the sobriety I worked so hard to achieve, it's hard not to react emotionally."

"So I threw a singular fry at him," adds the 30-year-old star who was in town for a deejaying gig at Metropolitan Nightclub. "Then he came back as we were getting ready to leave and continued making awful comments, so I continued with the fries."

Rose says, "Every day I learn new lessons about handling cultural and social ignorance. I am deeply regretful to the French fry and I am regretful that I reacted at all. Maybe next time I won't throw fries, then again, maybe next time that bartender won't tell someone who is sober to 'go call your f**king sponsor!' "

"I worked in hospitality for 5 years and I have huge love, respect and admiration for servers around the world and how hard they work. I also have mad love for New Orleans and I want to come back 100 times if you will have me. Next time, dinner at my place," she concludes.

According to NOLA.com, Ruby Rose got kicked out of Rebellion due to her tantrum. Aside from throwing French fries at the bartender, she reportedly also cursed out the bartender and said she would "kick [the restaurant owner's] ass" if she were bigger. She was described as an "awful" and "horrible" person by the owner, Seung Hong.

Hong claimed Rose and her entourage were seated 15 minutes after they arrived. Contrary to her story, Hong said the appetizers arrived 40 minutes after that and their entrees were ready 10 minutes later. In his defense, he said there were several large groups already seated ahead of Rose's group and hence the food delay. He reportedly explained it to them beforehand and they still opted to wait.
