Emily Carmichael Rumored to Direct 'Captain Marvel'
Movie

The Emily Carmichael chatters fuel the long-running rumor that Emily Blunt is being courted for the role of Carol Danvers.

AceShowbiz - Has "Captain Marvel" finally found a director? According to the latest Internet chatters, indie filmmaker Emily Carmichael may have been booked for the job after she revealed about going to a meeting with Disney for an undisclosed project.

The director shared a picture of her wearing reddish glasses. The initial caption was "on my way to a Disney meeting" before it was edited into "I look a way." Nicole Perlman who writes "Captain Marvel" script added fuel to the rumor by following the helmer on Twitter.

The Emily Carmichael rumors fuel casting report about Emily Blunt since TheWrap's Jeff Sneider claimed a few weeks ago that the movie had a director and lead actress that shared the same first name. Indeed, Blunt has long been linked to the flick but never confirmed it.

Back in 2014, Emily Blunt revealed she turned down the roles of Black Widow and Peggy Carter. She blamed it on scheduling conflicts. She is currently is expecting her second child with husband John Krasinski. She will next be seen in "The Girl on the Train".

"Captain Marvel" was originally planned for July 2018 before it was moved to November the same year and eventually pushed back again to March 8, 2019.
