Bobby Brown is suing Nick Gordon in a new lawsuit over the death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. The New Edition singer is joining Bobbi's conservator Bedelia Hargrove as plaintiff in a wrongful death lawsuit against Nick.

Bobby's name was added on May 4, two days after Bedelia filed a renewed motion for monetary sanctions and other relief against Nick on grounds of his complete disregard of the court and lack of response, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The renewed motion states that "the defendant ignores this Court's mandates but freely discusses his role in the incident which led to the horrific injuries to Decedent Bobbi Kristina Brown on public television" and "fully and freely discusses the version of the facts and circumstances which gave rise to this litigation."

The suit is seeking to recover more than $50,000,000 from Nick.

The renewed motion comes a week following Nick's appearance on the "Dr. Phil Show", where he openly discussed what he claimed led to Bobbi Kristina's death. During the interview, Nick said he simply "ignored this lawsuit and its consequences."

According to a source, Nick is "distraught" over the renewed motion as he does not have the resources to combat the allegations. Bobbi's former boyfriend is looking for a civil attorney as he is currently without counsel.
