The 'Pitch Perfect' actress reveals her wild transformation as the notorious alien witch in the upcoming movie about Saban's color-coded superheroes.

A new image from the upcoming big-screen adaptation of "Power Rangers" has arrived. It gives the first look at Elizabeth Banks as the devilish alien witch Rita Repulsa who comes to Earth in order to rule the planet.
The "Pitch Perfect" actress looks nothing like the original Rita Repulsa. Banks' incarnation in the reboot has a green armor suit, a long rope wrapped around her neck, and gold claw nails. Instead of big horn hair, she rocks a high ponytail.
"It's definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa," she explains to PEOPLE. "I've never played a villain before. [I am looking forward to] world domination - and being unpredictable as a character."
Directed by Dean Israelite ("Project Almanac"), the movie is due March 24, 2017. It follows a group of ordinary high school kids who find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world. The color-coded heroes are played by Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, Becky G, Ludi Lin and RJ Cyler.
