The crowd was asked to leave the building due to security threat during the last segment of Lionsgate's panel in the Las Vegas convention.

AceShowbiz - Lionsgate's panel at CinemaCon ended with drama. The studio originally planned to screen "Now You See Me 2" to theater owners during their last segment at the annual Las Vegas convention, but a security threat prompted the screening to end early as the crowd got evacuated.

Security guards interrupted the screening around 15 minutes into the movie and asked everyone inside the Colosseum in Caesars Palace to leave. The staffer originally cited technical issue, but it was later revealed that an unattended backpack found inside the building raised the alarm.

The National Association of Theatre Owners explained, "The screening was stopped out of complete caution for the safety of the delegates and attendees. A potential threat had to be taken seriously. By the time we determined it was not a threat, it was too late to restart the movie."

Before the screening began, two of the cast members Dave Franco and Jesse Eisenberg took the stage for an introduction. Famed magician David Copperfield who served as an adviser for the movie also showed off some magic tricks. It's unclear if they were present during the bomb scare.
