AceShowbiz - %cJason Derulo% has impressed fans with his amazing body for quite some time now, and it turns out that he really works hard for it. The 26-year-old singer opened up about the secrets behind his toned body and incredible muscles while also explaining his diet and workout routine.
When asked about what kind of diet he followed, the "Naked" singer answered, "Celery and water diet." But wait, he's just joking, it's April Fools' day! Derulo later hinted that he went on a strict, lean diet, in which he ate many proteins and reduced carbs.
"It's really just being strict within reason," Derulo said. "I was kind of doing just like those crash diets where I was going hard, going hard, going hard. [But] it's easy to fall off and when you fall off, it's kind of hard to get back up."
Derulo also said that in order to be successful, people have to stay true to their diet all the time and if they fail, they're not supposed to give up. "So if you create yourself a reasonable diet...if you want something, you can have it, but within reason, do like an 80/20, 80-percent healthy and 20-percent...don't go too crazy!" he suggested.
The "Want to Want Me" hitmaker revealed that he took 3,200 to 3,300 calories per day, but he wasn't afraid of gaining weight because he literally burnt all of them, considering that he works out three hours a day.
